We are all about positive training and keeping a fun environment where learning can be central for both dog and handler. Positive reinforcement, classical conditioning, and rewarding good behavior are key concepts to our training. As well as remembering to keep Patience, Planning, and Practice, a part of the training protocol always. Consistency is key!
Tacie is a Josh Lyons Certified horse trainer. Josh uses positive training methods based mostly from condition response training. We use many of the same methods with training our dogs that we do with training our horses.
Tiffiny has been a dog 4-H leader for the past 8 years, helping to teach the youth to train their dogs.
We complete with our dogs in rally, obedience, conformation, junior showmanship, agility, dock diving, fast cat, etc. We also have titled our dogs in CGC (Canine Good Citizen), farm dog, trick dog, and star puppy. We compete in both AKC and UKC.
Our obedience class will include training:
Heeling on leash, stand, sit, lie down, stay, and come when called. We will introduce "on deck", where we teach the dogs to wait on a platform while another dog has its turn to train. We will also do some socialization work, and have an intro to rally which is a super fun way to play obedience with your dog!
